Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day

During the Vietnam war the U.S. lost, according to various estimates, from 56 to 58 thousand people. After the end of the war, another 129,000 veterans died as a result of stress and suicide. Estimates of losses in the Vietnam war range from 2 to 3 million people.

On January 27 1973, in Paris, a signing ceremony of the quadripartite agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam was held.

In 1975 the withdrawal of U.S. troops and their allies from South Vietnam was completed. And on April 30, 1975 the last American soldier left Vietnam. That is why Vietnam Veterans Day celebrated on this day.
